Bergink, Annelieke

Annelieke Bergink obtained her Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Human Development at UNU-MERIT/Maastricht Graduate School of Governance, where she specialised in regional integration and multi-level governance. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in European Studies from Maastricht University.

Her research interests include networks of regional cooperation within the European Union, the role of the EU as a global player and the Common Security and Defense Policy of the EU.

At UNU-CRIS, Annelieke worked on the GR:EEN Project under supervision of Marieke Zwartjes and Francis Baert until August 2013. Furthermore, she finalised her Master’s thesis on the relevance of EU regions as a level of governance under the supervision of Luk Van Langenhove.
