Dorenburg, Johanna

Johanna Dorenburg studied at the University of Oxford, where, in 2013, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Latin American Studies. This interdisciplinary nine-month programme enabled her to gain an in-depth understanding of Latin American politics. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from the Dublin City University.

During her three-month internship at UNU-CRIS, Johanna worked under the supervision of Professor Ademola Abass on various research strands of the Regional Peace and Security programme.

Her current research interests include populism, democracy, transnational crime, and regional integration in Latin America.
