Biographical Statement 

Dilek Güneş Reubens was a Research Intern at UNU-CRIS, where she contributed to the Nature, Climate, and Health Cluster under the supervision of Nidhi Nagabhatla and Charlotte Scheerens. She recently completed a Master’s degree in Conflict and Development Studies at Ghent University, specializing in climate policy and migration studies.

During her internship, made possible through the support of the Flanders Trainee Programme, Dilek focussed on exploring the connections between climate change and health outcomes, particularly in migration contexts. She conducted research to strengthen the evidence base on the climate-health nexus, analyzing direct and indirect health impacts of climate change.

Additionally, Dilek supported the ClimaMigHealth network activities and collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to develop integrated solutions that bridge climate science, migration studies, and public health.
