Soltani, Anoosh
Anoosh Soltani holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Resources Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Sciences from Lund University, Sweden. Her Master’s thesis “Embrace our differences; Investigation into the social vulnerability of migrant women in Sweden & Explore the roles of local organizations to address social vulnerabilities” is an endeavour to explore and understand the characteristics of social vulnerabilities of Middle Eastern women to social exclusion, poverty and inequality in Sweden.
The project is an effort to promote the social sustainability of society while facilitating the socio-economic integration of excluded and marginalised groups with the help of local organisations.
Her previous experience includes working and collaborating with several public and private entities including; international NGO of “Initiative for Inequality” based in United States, “Rahavard-e-Sabz” in Iran, Sharif University of Technology (Department of Energy Engineering) in Iran, etc.
At UNU-CRIS, Anoosh worked under supervision of professor Ademola Abass for a period of three months. She worked on Social vulnerabilities and human right issues of female expatriates from western countries who work in Middle Eastern countries.
