Tamte, Elisabeth

During her communication internship at UNU-CRIS, Elisabeth will work under the supervision of Andrew Dunn, the Policy and Communications Officer. Elisabeth’s core responsibilities include editing and formatting new publications and contributing to the Institute’s social media presence.
Elisabeth is a recent graduate of the University of Oxford, where she earned a MPhil degree in International Relations. At Oxford, Elisabeth’s graduate thesis examined the adoption of multistakeholder governance modalities within the UN system. In particular, she looked at how UN agencies differentially localized the principle of multistakeholderism. Elisabeth completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Virginia, where she majored in Global Security and Justice with minors in Economics and Foreign Affairs.
Professionally, Elisabeth has previously worked as a research intern for the UK Ministry of Defense’s internal think tank and at the Oxford Internet Institute on a project examining ethical governance of AI applications by defense establishments. Earlier, she interned at the US State Department working on governance and management issues with UN agencies.
Elisabeth is excited to join UNU-CRIS and further develop her skills in strategic communications and policy dissemination while gaining hands-on experience within a multilateral research environment
