European Union in International Affairs Conference

26 May 2021 to 28 May 2021
Conference

The ‘European Union in International Affairs’ (EUIA) Conference provides a major forum for academics and policy-makers to debate the role of the EU in the turbulent realm of international affairs. After a postponement due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the seventh edition of this event will take place from 26 to 28 May 2021 and focus on the theme ‘Assessing the EU’s Capacity to Act’.

#EUIA21 will be held virtually and be organised primarily through a high-quality online conferencing tool. The event will feature high-level keynote addresses and will co-organise a Best Paper Award together with the Journal of European Integration (JEI). The selected #EUIA21 paper will be considered for publication in a themed JEI section or special issue.

Keep an eye on this website and our social media channels. We will inform you about all relevant news and updates on the conference!

The EUIA Conference is jointly organized by The Institute for European Studies at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (IES-VUB), the Institut d’Études Européennes at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (IEE-ULB), the United Nations University Institute on Comparative Regional Integration Studies (UNU-CRIS), Egmont – the Royal Institute for International Relations and the University of Warwick.
