Seiwert, Eva

Eva Seiwert holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chinese Studies from the University of Leipzig and obtained her Master’s Degree in East Asian Relations from the University of Edinburgh.

During her university studies, Eva wrote several essays on China’s international relations, focussing on the state’s changing role in international politics and how this expresses itself in its activities within regional organisations. She is furthermore interested in the Sino-Russian relationship and the two countries’ cooperation in the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. Her Master’s thesis concerned China’s reaction to the Ukrainian crisis in 2014.

In the course of her six-month internship at UNU-CRIS, Eva worked under the supervision of Stephen Kingah.
