Biographical Statement 

Ferran Davesa was a part-time postdoctoral Research Fellow at UNU-CRIS. He was involved in the GREMLIN project on Global and Regional Multistakeholder Institutions. He was also the coordinator of the programme Evaluating Democratic Governance in Europe (EDGE) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. 

From 2008 to 2013, Davesa was a researcher at Universitat de Barcelona (UB). He holds an MA in International Relations from Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI), and a BA in Political Science from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). Davesa has been a visiting researcher at the University of Washington (UW) in Seattle.

His doctoral thesis analysed participatory governance in the EU’s youth policy field. His research interests include political participation, digital democracy, social movements and youth policy. His most recent research involved the analysis of innovative teaching methods such as gamification and simulation games in the field of International Relations.
