Lohmann, Maria
Maria Lohmann studied law at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg where she specialised in European Public Law and Public International Law as well as having an additional academic specialisation in European Union law. Due to her interest in foreign policy and cultures, she took courses in the interfaculty programme “Global Systems and intercultural competence” (GSiK – Globale Systeme und interkulturelle Kompetenz). Additionally she participated in the legal language programme and completed various courses in, among others, legal English and Spanish, English Law, Latin American Law, Indian Law and US Civil Procedure.
During the academic year 2012/13 she studied law at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven as an Erasmus student and completed predominantly courses in public international law. In her last internship in an international law firm, she worked in the area of German Corporate/Public and Administrative law, especially in Environmental law with European influence.
As an intern at UNU-CRIS, she worked on various research projects on peace and security matters under the supervision of Professor Ademola Abass until the end of September 2013.
