Garcia, Glaudio
Glaudio worked on the EU-funded project European Leadership in Cultural, Science and Innovation Diplomacy (EL-CSID), by focussing on the relation between the negotiation of Free Trade Agreements and Science and Innovation. In doing so, he brought along his knowledge and working experience in the drug development industry as Sr. Clinical Researcher, implementing and running clinical trials across 3 different countries and regulatory environments: Mexico, India and Australia. This fact made him develop interest in public policy as he experienced first-hand the work of public health systems and the impact of pharmaceutical policies.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from La Salle University in Mexico City and finished his Master’s in Public Policy and Human Development co-organised by Maastricht University and UNU-MERIT. He followed the specialisation of Regional Integration and Multi-level Governance.
His research interests include regional integration processes, diplomacy, foreign policy and global health.
Glaudio was supervised by Luk Van Langenhove, Elke Boers and Riccardo Trobbiani until the end of August 2017.
