Summer School Diary - Day Twelve
Written by Luca Menghini
The last day of the summer school started with the visit at the parliament. After being welcomed the students assisted to a presentation of which are the powers of the parliament, its role in relation to the other institutions and the ordinary legislative procedure. An officer of the DG communication, Visits and Seminars Unit escorted us to visit the plenary assembly.
After a short lunch in Place de Luxemburg the students went to see the European Parliament – Parlamentarium visitor centre, enjoying the multimedial exposition on the history of the European project. This was the last official event of the summer school 2019 of the United Nations University – CRIS, finishing two weeks in which all participants left richer for the experience.
