UNU-CRIS at COP28
The 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, will convene in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 30 November – 12 December 2023.
Commonly known as the UN Climate Change Conference, COP28 is unique in that it marks the conclusion of the first-ever global stocktake — the process for the world to assess our collective progress on the goals of the Paris Agreement.
UNU contributions to COP28 are key in helping countries and stakeholders understand how we must accelerate action to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, and how we can ensure vulnerable populations are prioritized in mitigating and adapting to the impacts of climate change.
