Gromadzki, Slawomir
Slawomir Gromadzki is a virtual Visiting Research Fellow at UNU-CRIS. He is Assistant Professor in the field of internal security and Director of the Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer at the Ignacy Moscicki University of Applied Sciences in Ciechanów, Poland.
Slawomir also headed the Department of Internal Security.
He has experience in working at the local and regional administration level as Deputy Mayor, director of the agricultural advisory center. He also sat on the regional selfgoverment assembly. Previously, he worked as an Expert/Member of the Focus Group 46: Water: Nature-Based Solutions for water management under climate change The agricultural European Innovation Partnership (EIP-AGRI) European Commission and he was a lecturer at the School of Defense Administration / War Studies University. He prepared study material for Higher Defense Courses in the field of population evacuation and ensuring public order during floods.
Slawomir also runs a family organic farm. As a farmer and stakeholder of the UN Water Conference 2023, New York, he submitted a Commitment to Water Action Agenda: The universal model of the “Local water partnership” and "Local water strategy" as the basis for building water security at the local and global level.
During his virtual visiting research fellowship at UNU-CRIS, Slawomir Gromadzki will primarily work on water security issues with Nidhi Nagabhatla within the Nature, Climate and Health Cluster.
