UNU-CRIS is supporting the EU-funded Initiative: CHOICE

This aim is to tackle food supply chain challenges, bring consumers and businesses together, and understand their behaviors to drive real change and create a new generation of models that accurately reflect the diverse nature of the food system by offering detailed insights at a local level, CHOICE makes climate change solutions relatable to consumers and local policymakers and people can see how their actions, like changing eating habits or reducing food waste, contribute to global improvement. The project will use engaging digital tools, data storytelling, and even gamification to encourage participation and 'green marketing' with demonstrations spanning many regions: Europe, Africa, Latin America, and Asia while gathering data to improve global models and to test how different groups respond to incentives for more sustainable practices. See more about the project and learn about user-friendly tools that improve transparency and decision-making processes and helps empower individuals and communities to make informed choices for a more sustainable food future
Dr. Nidhi Nagabhatla is serving as the ambassador to this project.
