Samuel d’Almeida is a Visiting Research Fellow with the Nature, Climate and Health Cluster at UNU-CRIS. Together with Nidhi Nagabhatla, he is focusing on international health policies and the UN Small Island Developing States (UN-SIDS) group.
Samuel is a British Academy & CNRS awardee for outreach and engagement on 'governance'. He served as a physician in university hospitals, prisons and refugee camps, and an advisor for various public sectors, e.g., health, justice, budget and international travel, to French ministries, the European Union and the World Health Organisation. He visits the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Centre Marc Bloch), and, last year, the University of Oxford (Vaccines and Society Unit).
