Biographical Statement 

Amalie Ravn Weinrich is an Associate Research Fellow at UNU-CRIS. She holds the position of Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for Global Mobility Law (MOBILE) at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, where she leads the research project Regional Mobility Infrastructures (REMOBILISE). She received her PhD in Peace and Development Research from the School of Global Studies at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden (2023).

Her work focuses on how people navigate free movement law in West Africa and explores overlapping regional citizenship regimes and regional mobility governance. She has spent extensive periods of fieldwork in the West African region and has published her empirically driven work in top-tier journals such as Citizenship Studies and German Law Journal. She currently teaches on the master programme at the Centre of African Studies at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

At UNU-CRIS, Amalie will be involved in the work of the Migration and Social Policy Cluster, in close collaboration with Dr. Ine Lietaert. Her work at UNU-CRIS will focus on the interplay between citizenship, mobility, and regional integration in West Africa.
