Reddy Tumu, Sneha

Sneha Reddy Tumu was an intern with Professor Ademola Abass and conducted research on Regional Peace and Security until the summer of 2014. Her focus areas included International Law, Political Legitimacy and the doctrine of Responsibility to Protect. She worked on issues related to the Syrian crisis and the role of SAARC in peace and security.

Sneha holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs at Sciences Po University in Paris through a graduate exchange programme with St.Xavier’s College, Mumbai where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Media with Honours. In 2010, she participated in the ‘Harvard College in Asia Program’ on ‘Social Entrepreneurship’ at Harvard University.

Prior to UNU-CRIS, Sneha Reddy interned at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in the Division of Technology, Industry and Economics in Paris. At UNEP, she worked on the en.lighten initiative which aims to phase out inefficient lighting across the world.

Her professional experiences include internships with media houses in India and voluntary service with NGOs like ‘Salaam Baalak Trust’, ‘Under The Mango Tree’ in Mumbai and ‘Shakti - Legal Aid and Human Rights Centre’ based in Mumbai and Gujarat in India.
