Galarza, Sandy
Sandy Galarza obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Languages Applied to Business and International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador. During her internship, she was pursuing a Master’s in Global Political Studies at Malmö University in Sweden.
Ms Galarza has worked in the Latin American Energy Organization, Department of Integration. Additionally, she has participated in some (UNV) United Nations social volunteering projects in Quito, Ecuador. Sandy is fluent in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
Sandy Galarza’s research interests include regional cooperation and integration (with particular interests in the energy sector); global and regional organisations; area studies; and regional powers in intra-regional, inter-regional and global spheres.
During her internship at UNU-CRIS, Sandy Galarza investigated the role of Brazil, as a regional power, in South America’s process of integration and she worked under the professional guidance of Philippe De Lombaerde until the end of May 2011.
