Biographical Statement 

Palindi Kalubowila was a virtual intern at UNU-CRIS who holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Environmental Science from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. She is a DAAD scholar, reading for her Master of Sciences at UNU-EHS. Her masters is in geography of environmental risks and human security.

Prior to joining UNU-EHS, Palindi was a Business Operations Associate at the United Nations in Sri Lanka. She has previously worked for World Vision as a Programme Officer – Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs and as an Emergency Response Coordination Assistant for United Nations in Sri Lanka. She is interested in working on Disaster Risk Reduction and Humanitarian Response.

Palindi joined the City Responses to Climate Risk Project in February 2022 and worked under the supervision of UNU-EHS in her first five months. At UNU-CRIS, she was supervised by Ine Lietaert.
