Gulomova, Saidakhon
Saida Gulomova is currently pursuing the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree in Economics of Globalisation and European Integration, a programme jointly delivered by a consortium of European universities. Saida's academic background focuses on international economics, trade policy, regional integration, and the socio-economic dimensions of globalisation.
During the research internship at UNU-CRIS, Saida is working on the design and application of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) in the context of trade agreements under the supervision of Glenn Rayp within the Economic and Political Interactions Cluster. This research contributes to a broader project that investigates how effectively EIAs account for environmental sustainability within trade negotiations. The work involves reviewing methodologies, mapping institutional practices, and identifying gaps between policy design and implementation across countries and regions. The goal is to support evidence-based improvements in trade-related environmental governance.
