d Almeida, Samuel

Samuel d’Almeida is a (virtual) Visiting Reseach Fellow with the Nature, Climate and Health Cluster at UNU-CRIS. Together with Nidhi Nagabhatla, he is focussing on international health policies, especially those which pertain to the UN Small Island Developing States (UN-SIDS) group.
Samuel is a medical doctor who advised various health authorities, including WHO and in France. He is a British Academy & CNRS awardee for exchange and interdisciplinary work on ‘governance’. Prior to his visiting research fellowship at UNU-CRIS, Samuel held a visiting position at the Vaccines and Society Unit of the University of Oxford.
He is a lead author of several pieces published by The Lancet Group. Samuel welcomes any requests for advice, partnership proposals, and enquiries.
