SEMINAR: Typology and Principles of Regional Integration in Comparative Perspective

A Research Seminar on Typology and Principles of Regional Integration in Comparative Perspective by Mario Apostolov, UNU-CRIS Visiting Research Fellow and UNECE Regional Adviser, will take place on Tuesday, 5 July 2022 from 10.00 until 11.30.

His presentation is planned as follows:

1. Introduction
2. Key models of regional cooperation and integration
3. Relations between regional integration models
4. Basic principles/benchmarks of regional integration (prepare for discussion)

and a discussion will take place on:

1. Basic principles/benchmarks of regional integration (debate)
2. Regional level in the UN structure (just a follow-up discussion among participants to see how they make sense of the current development pillar reform and the regional-level institutional structure and activities).
