Wu, Wei
Wei Wu was a Research Intern at UNU-CRIS who was pursuing a doctoral degree at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China. Her research interests lie in digital diplomacy and China’s foreign policy. Besides this, she was also a visiting PhD Student at Sciences Po Paris. Her previous works has contributed to the study of digital diplomacy and its impact on achieving SDGs, using China as a case study.
During her internship at UNU-CRIS, Wei primarily worked on evolving her doctoral thesis into a working paper for publication and assist with other research tasks under the supervision of Jamal Shahin within the Digital Governance Cluster. She explored the China and EU’s digital diplomacy practice of cultural dissemination using digital plats and discussed how these practices influence the China-EU relationship.
