Biographical Statement 

Yangfan Tan was a research intern at UNU-CRIS who pursued a two-year Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Economics of Globalisation and European Integration and finished her second semester at Ghent University. Before that, she graduated from Fudan University in China with a Bachelor’s degree in International Politics.

Yangfan’s major research interest lies in international trade, development economics and quantitative methodology. During her two-month internship at UNU-CRIS, she worked on the replication of gravity models of international migration with high-frequency data under the supervision of Samuel Standaert, Ilse Ruyssen or Glenn Rayp.
