Biographical Statement 

At the time of her internship, Yentl was pursuing a Master’s Degree in Economic Sciences with a major on globalisation at Ghent University. During her studies she wrote a thesis about the determinants of actual economic integration supervised by Glenn Rayp. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economic Sciences of Ghent University. During the summer of 2014 she also followed a summer course on International Economics in Lisbon, Portugal.

Together with Jania Silva she worked on updating the paper “Indicator-based Monitoring of Regional Integration: Where do we stand Anno 2013?”. Besides this, she helped with a database of all the indicators of regional integration. Her research interests are regional integration, international economics and environmental economics.

Yentl Clijmans was supervised by Philippe De Lombaerde until the end of April.
