Biographical Statement 

Anna Gomarteli was a research intern at UNU-CRIS. Anna holds her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Pompeu Fabra University in Spain and the Higher School of Economics in Russia. Anna was awarded an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship to conduct a Master’s Degree at the University of Bari (Italy), Ghent University (Belgium), and the University of Cantabria (Spain), where she studies Economics of Globalisation and European Integration.

Her previous experience includes working in the Centre of Spatial Economics and Market Research in Saint Petersburg and conducting research for projects assessing the accounting reporting of firms, and developing models of intersectoral linkages in the economy.

During her internship at UNU-CRIS, Anna Gomarteli researched the relationship between institutional characteristics and the depth of integration of regional organisations under the supervision of Glenn Rayp within the Economic Interactions’ Cluster.
