Raymond Mallon

Raymond Mallon is an economic advisor for the Australia-Vietnam economic reform programme. His work focuses on equitable economic development, and regional economic cooperation in Asia and the Pacific. A freelance economic consultant, he provides advice on development issues to organisations including ADB, ASEAN, EU, WB and WTO. He has held staff positions for the ADB and World Bank.

In his workshop, he will discuss economic reform, integration and governance issues in Viet Nam’s economic transition to a market economy, the resulting impacts on poverty reduction, and growing efforts to harmonise elements of regional governance as part of regional economic cooperation initiatives involving South East Asia.
