Biographical Statement 

Lena Van Landuyt was a research intern at UNU-CRIS and is pursuing a master's degree in Economics with a minor in Policy at Ghent University.  For her thesis, Lena is working on the effects from the Belgian tax shift and hopes to graduate in June.

Lena is passionate about European integration and the power of being united. She found her love for working in international environments through her multiple study abroad programmes in Canada, Austria and France. She is also a member of ESN Gent, an organisation that works towards a better experience for international students in Gent and Europe.

During her internship at UNU CRIS, she provided research assistance for a report on the impact of EU law on resources from conflict areas. She worked under the supervision of Glenn Rayp as part of the Economic Interactions Cluster
