Biographical Statement

Nandi holds a Bachelor's Degree in Development Studies from The Zambia Catholic University. She has worked in a non-governmental organisation and a development consultancy. During her undergraduate studies, she attended a conference on the significance of international peace at the Dag Hammarskjold Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies at The Copperbelt University in Zambia. This conference awakened her interest in peace and conflict resolution.

Nandi was a Master of Science student in Peace, Leadership and Conflict Resolution at The University of Zambia. She worked on her thesis which focussed on Sino-Zambia land and other relations and the effects these relations have on peace and conflict in Lusaka. Nandi’s study interests are human development, conflict resolution, diplomacy, international relations, regional integration and governance. From the comparative regional integration research experience she anticipated at UNU-CRIS, she intended to pursue a second Master in International Relations with a focus on regional integration.

At UNU-CRIS Nandi’s internship ran from the beginning of October 2018 until the end of March 2019. During her internship, she contributed to the research programme regarding the role of regions in Global Governance under the supervision of Madeleine Hosli.
