‘How UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030) is supporting Nature Based Solutions and Water Security Agenda for States, Regions and Communities’

The talk will emphasize how this UN Decade aims to support Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) and the Water Security Agenda for states, regions, and communities. Through this initiative, there is a concerted effort to promote the use of NBS, such as reforestation, wetland restoration, and sustainable land management, to address water-related challenges. The focus is on leveraging natural ecosystems to enhance regional capacity for water availability, quality, and resilience, contributing to the overall regional-specific water security agenda. The decade also aims to mobilize and coordinate action at all levels to restore and conserve ecosystems, fostering sustainable development and resilience to climate change.
