Dr. Kenis, Dirk
Dirk Kenis was an Associate Research Fellow at UNU-CRIS until the end of December 2016, providing methodological support to foresight exercises related to global and regional policy-issues, in an interdisciplinary and intercultural context. Dr. Kenis began his academic career at the Free University of Brussels in 1984, where he was, for almost 10 years, responsible for large interdisciplinary research projects. After obtaining his PhD in sociology in 1995 at the Rijks Universiteit Utrecht (RUU), he worked as an expert/manager with various ICT companies, including EDS, Andersen Consulting and MediaGenix.
Dr. Kenis taught at various university colleges and universities. During his time at UNU-CRIS, he was a part-time professor at MAD Faculty Hasselt. As an academic researcher, he is the author of many scientific publications in the field of group decision support systems (GDSS) and knowledge management.
