To address this, we are excited to announce the release of a comprehensive, two-volume open-access collection examining the comparative regionalism research program.
Edited by Dr Amitav Acharya, Philippe De Lombaerde, Dr Beatrix Futák-Campbell, Lynda Chinenye Iroulo, and Juliana Peixoto Batista, this publication features a diverse group of global scholars reflecting on the past, present, and future of the field.
Volume I establishes the building blocks for future regionalism studies. It proposes a pluralistic theoretical and methodological toolbox, bridges disciplinary boundaries, and explores the global origins and trajectories of regionalism thinking.
Volume II addresses the continued significance of regions in contemporary world politics. Authors examine the normative role of regions in global governance, explore interregional relations, and analyse the tangible impact of regional organisations.
Comprising approximately 100 essays, this collection celebrates the research and scholarly undertakings of the United Nations University Institute on Comparative Regional Integration Studies (UNU-CRIS) on its 25th anniversary.
