EU-LATAM 2022 Symposium

13 October 2022 to 14 October 2022
Madrid

UNU-CRIS is co-organising the Symposium on the Results of the Conference on the Future of Europe and Actions to Relaunch Latin American Integration (the EU-LATAM 2022 Symposium), together with the GRIDALE Network, the EU-LAC Foundation, European Commission, IELEPI, Universidad de Alcalá, CEPEG, and the German Federal Foreign Office on 13 and 14 October 2022. The Universidad de Alcalá in Madrid hosts the event in Alcalá de Henares.

The aims of the symposium are, on the one hand, to take stock of the results of the Conference on the Future of Europe, and on the other hand, to contrast these outcomes with proposals that are currently on the table to re-launch regional cooperation and integration in Latin-America.

Around 40 experts will participate in the discussion panels.

UNU-CRIS will be represented by Director Philippe De Lombaerde, Research Fellow Frank Mattheis, and Professorial Fellow and Professor at the Brussels School of Governance (VUB) Sven Van Kerckhoven. Dr. Van Kerckhoven will introduce the topic of EU Economic Policies.
