Jamal Shahin Delivers Webinar for the Islamic Development Bank

14 March 2022

On Monday 14 March, UNU-CRIS Professorial Fellow Jamal Shahin spoke at a webinar co-organised by UNU-CRIS and the Islamic Development Bank titled Regional Digital Governance: Research and Policy Challenges for the 21st Century.

The webinar touched upon topics such as digital governance as an embedded element of our economies and societies, multistakeholderism, the need for a global approach to infrastructure, data, and security on digital superhighways, the blockchain, and the possibility of a different way of 'managing' digital governance through the notions of digital interdependence and digital sovereignty.

The webinar was the first co-organised event between UNU-CRIS and the IsDB, with further collaboration expected in the near future.
