Simon Schunz, UNU-CRIS Associate Research Fellow, is presenting a paper at the international workshop on "The EU's Climate Change and Energy Cooperation: Moving towards Mutual Learning?" organised by the University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES) Collaborative Research Network on EU Energy and Climate Policies, in cooperation with the Cambridge Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance (C-EENRG) at the University of Cambridge on 8 and 9 December 2016.
His paper, entitled “The EU’s turn to multiple bilateralism in global climate politics: explaining the dynamics of cooperation and confrontation with major emitters" (co-authored by David Belis (KU Leuven)) discusses the strategic adjustment of the EU’s climate diplomacy in the run-up to the 2015 Paris climate summit.
