Dr. Philippe De Lombaerde, UNU-CRIS Senior Associate Research Fellow and Dr. Ana B. Amaya, UNU-CRIS Associate Research Fellow will participate in a roundtable during the International Studies Association (ISA) annual conference. The roundtable titled 'Health Policy Innovation, Science Diplomacy, and Economic Diplomacy' will explore the linkages between health policy innovation in emerging countries and its implications for science and economic diplomacy with countries in the North, namely the European Union. This roundtable has been organised as part of the European Leadership in Cultural, Science and Innovation Diplomacy (EL-CSID) project.
The EL-CSID project seeks to identify how the European Union and its Member States can collectively and individually develop an institutional and strategic policy environment conducive for extra-regional science and cultural diplomacy. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme under Grant Agreement No 693799.
