Diana Potjomkina, UNU-CRIS PhD Fellow, delivers Paper Presentation at the 49th Annual Conference, Lisbon
From September 2-4, UNU-CRIS PhD Fellow Diana Potjomkina is participating at the 49th UACES Annual Conference taking place in Lisbon, Portugal. She is delivering a paper “The (Not So) Subtle Unilateral Power? EU’s Engagement with Civil Society in the Framework of EU-Georgia DCFTA” in the framework of the panel “EU’s Engagement with Civil Society and Other Stakeholders in its External Relations: Strategies and Conceptualization”.
The paper presents provisional results from Diana’s fieldwork in Georgia and offers a critical perspective on the participation of Georgian stakeholders in the consultation mechanisms established in the framework of the EU-Georgia Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA). Diana is also the organizer of this panel.
