UNU-CRIS Director starts lecture series at UNU-MERIT
Embedded within the well-established cooperation between the United Nations University Institute on Comparative Regional Integration Studies (UNU-CRIS) and the United Nations University Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT), is the longstanding collaboration on UNU-MERIT’s MSc in Public Policy and Human Development: Specialization in Regional Integration & Multi-Level Governance. Furthering this alliance, Philippe De Lombaerde, Director, UNU-CRIS, will deliver a series of four lectures between 22 February and 14 March 2022.
The themes covered in the lectures include:
- Comparative Regionalism
- Latin American Regionalism
- Indicators of Regional Integration
- Regional Trade Policy
The Specialization in Regional Integration & Multi-Level Governance investigates how regionalism and multi-level governance determine the design and execution of public policy in different regions: Europe, Asia, Africa, South and North America. The four courses of the specialisation assess the challenges and analytical approaches adopted to navigate governance in complex environments. In doing so, they also outline the current practices and solutions deployed within regional governance for the on-ground implementation the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), both from academic and practical perspectives.
