UNU-CRIS Present at Welzijnsschakel Integraal Brugge
UNU-CRIS Professorial Fellow Ine Lietaert gave a lecture on Monday evening, 12 September at Welzijnsschakel Integraal Brugge, where volunteers help (mainly foreign-speaking) children and young people with homework and study guidance, or help undocumented adults or at the start of their regularisation application to learn Dutch.
The volunteers of Integraal Brugge help a lot of unaccompanied minor refugees in their functioning, but the experiences and trajectories of these young people before they arrived in Bruges are often less known.
Based on findings from the CHILDMOVE study (https://childmove.com/), Ine Lietaert brought insights into the trajectories NBBM take across Europe, their experiences along the way, as well as the things they perceive as supportive in Belgium that have a positive impact on their psychological well-being.
