COST Action Project Launched : CA23113 - Climate Change Impacts on Mental Health in Europe (CliMent)

17 June 2024

UNU-CRIS is Now Part of the Regional Commitment to Understand the Climate Change-Mental Health Nexus

Mental health issues in Europe are exacerbated by climate change, yet the link between the two remains underexplored. CliMent aims to understand and address this connection through four working groups (WGs). WG1 will assess the mental health impacts of climate change; WG2 will identify adaptive strategies and treatment options; WG3 will map out short-term behavioural interventions; and WG4 will assess long-term strategies for sustainability. The project will produce reviews, surveys, reports, and dissemination activities, bridging multiple disciplines at the regional scale in the Europe . Outcomes include scientific evidence, career support for professionals, and empowerment of citizens and policymakers to tackle climate-health nexus challenges-
