Upcoming Talk by UNU-CRIS at Project Aladdin's International University for Intercultural Leadership 2024
'Climate Change, Society, and Governance: Understanding the Social Costs and Outcomes' Nidhi Nagabhatla, Senior Research Fellow and Cluster Coordinator of the Nature, Climate and Health programme, will be delivering a talk at the Project Aladdin's International University for Intercultural Leadership 2024 program on July 23rd. The event, supported by UNESCO and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), will be held at Bahçeşehir University in Turkey. This year's theme is "Inclusive Sustainability: Building climate resilience and promoting women empowerment and social justice".
The International University for Intercultural Leadership 2024 program brings together 80 prestigious universities from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and North and South America, providing a platform for international students and experts to engage in constructive discussions and workshops. Nidhi will provide insights into the social aspects of sustainable development, with a particular emphasis on climate resilience and the crucial role of a gender-sensitive approach to sustainable development. The talk will contribute to the discourse on social costs and outcomes of climate change, highlighting the importance of technological innovations, including AI and sustainable business practices, in fostering a greener future that is more inclusive and protective of vulnerable populations.
