COP30 highlighted the critical intersections between climate change, health, and regional resilience, emphasizing the urgent need for integrated approaches to address complex challenges. The Water–Food–Human (Health) Security Nexus represents a holistic framework vital to understanding and enhancing adaptive capacities in vulnerable regions, linking ecosystem sustainability with human well-being and socio-economic stability.

Objectives:
This joint workshop aims to reflect on the outcomes and discussions from COP30, focusing on climate resilience, health impacts, and regional security through the lens of the Water–Food–Human Security Nexus. It aims to foster dialogue among researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to explore innovative, cross-sectoral solutions that enhance resilience, promote sustainable resource management, and support health equity in the context of climate change.

Expected Outcomes:

• Synthesize key COP30 insights around nexus approaches to climate adaptation and health security
• Share interdisciplinary research and case studies advancing integrated water, food, and health security
• Identify policy recommendations and collaborative pathways for regional resilience building
• Strengthen partnerships between academic, governmental, and community stakeholders

This regional joint workshop contributes to advancing an actionable agenda that connects science, policy, and community engagement to achieve sustainable and resilient futures consistent with the commitments of COP30 (Belem, Brazil).
