Virtual Workshop on the Role of Policy Briefs towards Evidence to Impact conducted by Nidhi Nagabhatla

12 January 2026

UNU-CRIS supports the (gender focused) capacity-building efforts on Public Policy with the M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women in India.

The Policy brief focused session at women’s colleges with students in the Public Policy program aims to build practical skills to translate research into clear, actionable policy briefs. In this workshop, participants will reflect on their real-world experiences and share insights on structuring, design principles, and outreach strategies that ensure policy ideas reach decision-makers effectively. The session will emphasize the balance between analytical rigor and accessibility, building credibility through co-authorship, and tailoring messages for diverse stakeholders across various governance levels. The approach aims to strengthen confidence, leadership, and policy communication skills—empowering women scholars to influence evidence-based decision-making and build their capacity to amplify their voices in policy forums and policy-focused processes.
