Britain’s position at the margins of the EU was made clear last week at the Euro-zone crisis summit. ‘Shut up’, President Sarkozy told David Cameron – and not before time. For far too long, the UK has cavilled and complained, sulked and whinged about European integration. At last our karma has caught up with us.
