Biographical Statement 

Tim Shaw holds degrees from a trio of continents: Sussex, Makerere & Princeton. He taught PS & IDS at Dalhousie University in NS for three decades before ten years animating postgrad institutes in London (Commonwealth) & Trinidad (IR).

He has been a visiting professor in Denmark, Japan, Nigeria, UK, Zambia & Zimbabwe & is still such a visitor at Mbarara & Stellenbosch universities in Africa.

Tim edits book series for Ashgate Publishing (which has included several titles/chapters from UNU-CRIS colleagues) & Palgrave Macmillan & is a coeditor of a half-dozen titles in 2010-12 including the Ashgate Research Companion to Regionalisms & a set of edited papers from the Edulink NETRIS project which was organsied by UNU-CRIS.

In mid-2012 he becomes visiting professor at UMass in Boston to help animate a new PhD on Global Governance & Human Security.
