Renewing the Relationship Between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean: Towards a Joint Agenda for Multilateral and Interregional Change?

06 December 2023
Brussels

The Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second semester of 2023 has been a unique opportunity to rethink the bi-regional partnership between the European Union (EU) and the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region.

This Policy-Research Dialogue brings together practitioners and scholars of EU-LAC relations to debate key advances and challenges. Two thematic panels will provide a platform for a comprehensive discussion, exchange of insights, sharing of perspectives, and offering recommendations. The first panel contextualises the interregional relationship in a changing global order, and the second panel zooms in on bi-regional policy cooperation.
