Domenico Valenza, UNU-CRIS PhD Fellow, is conducting a research stay at the School of Cultural Studies – Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Russia (October – December 2019). In the framework of his research, Domenico examines the role of culture in the European Union’s and Russia’s external relations in the post-Soviet space.
During his stay, he seeks to gain expertise on Russia’s state cultural policy and understand how and to what extent domestic policies contribute to shaping foreign policy in this field.
The HSE School of Cultural Studies is a leading educational centre in the field of cultural policies, cultural diplomacy, and applied aspects of cultural science.
