EUIA Conference 2021: Academic and High Level Policy Panels
The ‘European Union in International Affairs’ (EUIA) Conference is a platform for academics and policy-makers to discuss and debate the role of the European Union in the turbulent realm of international affairs. The seventh edition of this event is themed ‘Assessing the EU’s Capacity to Act’ and will take place from 26th -28th May 2021.
The EUIA Conference is jointly organised by The Institute for European Studies at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (IES-VUB), the Institut d’Études Européennes at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (IEE-ULB), the United Nations University Institute on Comparative Regional Integration Studies (UNU-CRIS), Egmont – the Royal Institute for International Relations and the University of Warwick. EUIA gratefully acknowledges the support of FWO/Research Foundation – Flanders.

#EUIA21 will be held virtually and be organised primarily through a high-quality online conferencing tool. The event will feature high-level keynote addresses and includes a Best Paper Award together with the Journal of European Integration (JEI). The selected #EUIA21 paper will be considered for publication in a themed JEI section or special issue.
