Nidhi Nagabhatla will speak at the European Network of Medical Residents in Public Health, EuroNet MRPH Mini-Course 2025! Climate Change, Mental Health & Advocacy — Make our Voice Count

This non-profit, international, independent, and non-governmental association aims to connect Public Health Residents across the EU and create a professional network to share information on educational programs, to facilitate exchange and common activities, as well as to develop a body of scientific research.
Climate change is not just an environmental issue, it is a critical public health challenge that deeply impacts mental well-being worldwide. The increasing frequency of extreme weather events, natural disasters, and environmental degradation has been linked to heightened levels of anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. As public health professionals, understanding the intersection of climate change and mental health is essential for developing effective advocacy strategies and public health interventions.
This mini-course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and tools needed to address these pressing issues. By examining the links between climate change and mental health, exploring strategies for psychological resilience, and developing actionable advocacy frameworks, attendees will be empowered to contribute meaningfully to public health discourse and policy.
Through expert-led discussions, case studies, and collaborative exercises, participants will engage in an enriching learning experience aimed at strengthening EuroNet MRPH’s role in climate and mental health advocacy.
