UNU-CRIS Contribution to COP 28- Unpacking the climate change-health nexus.
In a recent op-ed titled "The Mental Health Challenge of Climate Change" published in the Diplomatic Courier, a global affairs media network connecting the global public to leaders in international affairs, diplomacy, social good, technology, business, and more, Nidhi Nagabhatla and a colleague from UNU-MERIT share their insights, reiterating that climate change significantly impacts our mental health, directly and indirectly. Yet, governments allocate only around 2% of their health budgets to mental health, which must increase as climate change intensifies.
